Aims & Scope

The Journal of Emerging Scholars in Occupational Therapy (JESOT) is a space for emerging researchers, early-career professionals, and students to share their scholarship in occupational therapy. Our goal is to support learning, encourage creativity, and promote professional growth by publishing a wide range of work, including original research, program development and outcomes, and new practitioner perspectives.

We welcome submissions on topics like clinical practice, education, advocacy, occupational justice, community programs, and more. JESOT values diverse perspectives and aims to make academic publishing more accessible for emerging scholars in the field.

The journal is managed by the faculty of Xavier University's Occupational Therapy Department. As a university rooted in Jesuit values, this journal disseminates scholarly projects that incorporates the Jesuit values of respect for diversity and holistic care (Cura Personalis), striving for excellence (Magis), challenging the status quo (Reflection), fostering collaboration (Solidarity and Kinship), or promoting service rooted in justice and love.
