Abstract
LivingHistory.AI is a project created by Professor Jonathan Gibson to reconstruct historical people for educational purposes. This summer, the focus has been on creating three figures involved with King Records of Cincinnati; founder Syd Nathan, house musician Skip Chavis, and James Brown. My role has been to create the 'brains' of these people through research and uploading information into our systems. Once these 'brains' are created, we can create the scenes/settings, interactive 'game' elements, and import additional historical documents to present an immersive experience for students. As our subjects are real people who have passed and we utilize the 'powers' of AI, there are ethical questions we consistently ask and answer to check how we are using technology and people's lives for future knowledge.
