Abstract

This paper examines the use of generative AI in fields such as art and writing. More specifically, it focuses on the overall public opinion on if it should be used or not. This topic matters because with the constant evolution of AI, many in the creative fields worry about their job security and question the implication of art without humanity. To investigate this issue, I created a survey that was sent out to a large group of people in hopes of finding an answer to how people truly feel about AI in creative fields. At this stage, based on the data that I have already received, I expect the project to show favoritism towards not having AI in creative fields such as art and fanfiction. Overall, this research contributes to understanding the values that we have in terms of creative endeavors, and what that means for the future of writing art.
