Abstract

This research project goes into the impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) use within writing classrooms mainly dealing with English as Second Language (ESL) and bilingual students. I bring in sources from professors and education board members that have conducted studies with students on their performative papers but also emotional interaction with using AI in their English classes. From those sources, there are results from their studies interacting with students writing and AI, but also the professors and board members' thoughts on whether AI should be used within writing classrooms. I am attempting to answer on how ESL and Bilingual students have used AI within their writing classrooms and if it has been beneficial by doing primary research by sending out a survey asking ESL and Bilingual students whether they use AI at all in their classes and if it has helped them with understanding and learning English.
