Abstract
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is a form of evidence-based treatment approach whose main goal is to provide adaptable client based treatment for clients who have severe mental health concerns. ACT treatment and the goals set for each individual client heavily vary, and these variations make each individual case unique and different. Knowing the intensive nature of ACT, looking into client satisfaction is very important to ensure that the services provided to each individual client are satisfactory and meet their needs and goals. The primary goal of this research is to determine the overall satisfaction rate of clients with schizophrenia who receive ACT services at the Clermont County Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCB) location as well as to identify specific aspects of the client’s care that influenced their responses to the questionnaire provided. This descriptive research study is sampled from 10 clients who currently receive ACT services from the Clermont County GCB location, and each client surveyed has also been diagnosed with schizophrenia in the past. The age ranges of the clients vary from the youngest client surveyed being in their 20’s and the oldest client being surveyed in their 50’s. This study used a questionnaire created by the researcher (Jaden Gaines) with each answer having a 1 to 5 scale. Each individual questionnaire was filled out during routine client meetings that the researcher of this project (Jaden Gaines) did as a part of his practicum placement at the Clermont County GCB location.
