Abstract

Lola and I are good friends, but we never talked about her home country or her culture. She loves being a Venezuelan and is very proud to have a culture that has strong ties. It was a little strange to interview a good friend because I thought I that I knew a lot about her, but I learned a lot about her life before college and about her family. When I discovered that I had to do this project, I did not want to because it is a new situation where I had to ask Lola* for help with my project, but it is totally about her. Also, it is a lot of time to ask her for because she has a very busy schedule with school, clubs, two jobs, her friends, and her boyfriend. I did not realize that she loves to talk about her family and her country, but I never took the opportunity to ask her about these things. In reality, Lola* was very excited to share her life with me and to defy my perceptions about Spanish-speaking individuals.
