Funeral prayer card for William Hennes, 1900-1961. The front of the card contains a photograph of Father Hennes. The back of the card contains biographical information and a prayer for the repose of his soul. This card was made by an unknown publisher. Hennes was professor of classical languages at Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio).

Born July 17, 1900 Entered the Society of Jesus August 22, 1918 Ordained June 22, 1932 Died January 23, 1961 May he rest in peace. Prayer. Grant, we beseech Thee, O Lord, that the soul of Thy servant, William, whom Thou hast honored in this life with the sacred functions of the Priesthood, may forever rejoice in the bliss of heaven. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth world without end. Amen. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
