Abstract

Research article on songs by Bob Dylan and stories by Shirley Jackson inspired by the demon lover ballad tradition. This second installment focuses on Dylan's "Blackjack Davey" and "Man in the Long Black Coat," and Jackson's "Elizabeth." As a bonus track, I consider Connie Converse's song "The Witch and the Wizard."
