Abstract
Long-term care facilities prioritize physical health needs, but resident engagement in activities is essential for overall well-being. This study will examine the relationship between quality-of-care measures in facilities and activity attendance in long-term care facilities, with the goal of identifying factors that influence resident engagement. By analyzing data from ten long-term care facilities, this research aims to determine whether higher quality-of-care ratings correlate with better activity attendance. The study is limited by its small sample size and reliance on self-reported attendance data from facility staff. Using SPSS, statistical analysis will determine whether higher quality-of-care ratings correlate with greater activity participation.
