Abstract

Housing affordability remains a persistent issue across the United States. Understanding how housing insecurity affects both mental and physical health is essential. This study addresses the connection between health outcomes and housing insecurity by analyzing data across states with varying levels of housing instability. Our research design focuses on the underlying mental and physical health issues correlated with high rates of housing insecurity. I hypothesize that there is a strong correlation between housing insecurity and health concerns, highlighting the need for new housing affordability policies aimed at mitigating these negative outcomes.
