Description

  • Megan Shulman, Catalog and Reference Librarian, Jackson State Community College

Learn how libraries across the country are hacking their library. This session will feature ideas and research from both academic and public libraries as to how they are expanding their accessibility and audience, as well as featuring their resources in new and innovative ways. From makerspaces to new digital humanities resources and collections to new web-based applications, learn how libraries are looking to create a library of the future. This session will feature specific examples of library hacks, as well as an evaluation of how they were hacked. The library of the future is creative and collaborative, and, as such, we need to allow users to bring their knowledge and information to hack it. Learn how to hack your library today!
